Breaking Barriers Dyslexia Conference

Expanding Literacy for All Learners Beyond the Elementary and Into Content Areas

Inaugural Dyslexia Conference, October 2-3, 2025, at the MSU Riley Center in Meridian, MS.   We are seeking engaging, research-based presentations that advance dyslexia intervention across 4-12 classrooms and content areas.  Proposals are due March 31, 2025.

A. Multiple Papers:  This type of thematic session provides an opportunity for authors to present a synopsis of their work. The conference committee will group two or three papers of a related topic or theme together for this session. Each paper will be presented, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session. This session is appropriate for presenting research in progress.

B. Research Roundtable:  Our Research Roundtable is an informal session during which researchers share their recently completed research or research in progress. Presenters share a 10-minute presentation and receive feedback from other roundtable participants.

C. Session Presentations: Presenters will present a 60-minute session on a literacy-related topic. Presenters may present their own research or share research-based best practices.
